ZRA(zero resistance ammeter) is integrated in all CS series Potentiostats/Galvanostats. There is no voltage or current being applied on the system.Therefore, ZRA can be also called "Open Circuit" technique.
The cable connection in ZRA is different than other general electrochemical testings.
In ZRA the connection is as follows:
- WE&SENSE (green& white) alligators both connect to the sample to be tested(WE I).
- The black GND alligator connects to another sample(WE II).
- RE(yellow) alligator connects to the reference electrode.
- CE(red) alligator is not used.
ZRA is usually used for Galvanic corrosion and electrochemical noise (ECN).
